We use it as a baby monitor connected to the camera in the bedroom, so when our baby wakes up, stands up, or starts moving, we get notified right away and can react immediately.
Our baby isn’t doing this yet, but if they ever try to climb over the playpen, it would alert us instantly—so it feels incredibly reassuring and practical!

I simply pointed my old Daikin AC remote at the hub and pressed a button once. The hub immediately responded with, “Is this the one?”—and nailed it perfectly. In just a few seconds, my smartphone became an AC remote. Once you experience that level of ease, there’s no going back.
⚪︎ Real-life experience (Apple Home):
I’m an iPhone user, and even SwitchBot products that don’t officially support Apple’s Home app (like the monitoring camera I purchased together with this hub) can be controlled directly from Apple Home via the AI Hub. Saying “Hey Siri, turn on the air conditioner” works as smoothly as if it were a native Apple feature.

The hub is extremely compact with a matte finish, so it doesn’t interfere with your interior at all. Whether placed on a TV stand or mounted on a wall, it fits right in.
Stability:
The Wi-Fi connection is impressively strong. With previous models, I occasionally experienced offline issues, but so far, that hasn’t happened even once with this AI Hub—which really builds trust.
For anyone planning to use cameras, doorbells, and other smart devices together, this hub is an absolutely essential command center. It doesn’t connect devices as isolated points—it brings everything together as a unified system.

To future me, next time wait to buy something.....
While it sounds really cool, it is far from it. If you are a beginner at home automations, AI and home assistant, run run far away. First, I thought it was a Switchbot Hub with embedded AI (so if you were thinking this too, you would be wrong), it is not. I wish I would have spent more time doing research on it. Secondly, The container version of Home Assistant does not seem to work properly. I used my current backup (from my Home Assistant machine that I am already running) to start and almost all of the Switchbot devices that I have are not working or missing (Switchbot why can I not point it at my already running instance of Home Assistant, like Linknlink's ISG?) Third, You cannot use any cameras that don't use RTSP so all my cameras need to be replaced? That is crazy. I currently have mine unplugged again and sitting in the box. I am hopeful that Switchbot will figure out the Home Assistant thing, it's literally just an IP redirect, should only take a few mins to code. I gave it 3 stars because I am still hopeful for it's use in the future with some updates and I still love Switchbot as a company.

I’m an iPhone user, and even SwitchBot products that don’t officially support Apple’s Home app (like the monitoring camera I purchased together with this hub) can be controlled directly from Apple Home via the AI Hub. To future me, next time wait to buy something.....
While it sounds really cool, it is far from it. If you are a beginner at home automations, AI and home assistant, run run far away. First, I thought it was a Switchbot Hub with embedded AI (so if you were thinking this too, you would be wrong), it is not. I wish I would have spent more time doing research on it. Secondly, The container version of Home Assistant does not seem to work properly. I used my current backup (from my Home Assistant machine that I am already running) to start and almost all of the Switchbot devices that I have are not working or missing (Switchbot why can I not point it at my already running instance of Home Assistant, like Linknlink's ISG?) Third, You cannot use any cameras that don't use RTSP so all my cameras need to be replaced? That is crazy. I currently have mine unplugged again and sitting in the box. I am hopeful that Switchbot will figure out the Home Assistant thing, it's literally just an IP redirect, should only take a few mins to code. I gave it 3 stars because I am still hopeful for it's use in the future with some updates and I still love Switchbot as a company.
