It was not clear when I bought the hub that it would have the light and humidity sensors on the cable instead of in the main body of the hub, so I ended up setting it up slightly differently than I had planned to. It is really great to have so many tools combined in one appliance, though! However, we recently had a power outage due to winter storms and I was disappointed to find that there is no backup battery in the hub. All my Meter Plus thermometer/hygrometer units kept going, being fully battery-operated, but I had a period of no data being recorded by the smart hub, which was disappointing especially because the heat is also dependent on our electricity, so I wanted to know how fast things cooled off once we lost power. SwitchBot appliances are usually so well thought-out I was surprised that there wasn’t some kind of short term backup battery built in. Overall happy to have a central unit with IR functionality and so many kinds of sensors, though. Love that there are on/off buttons right on the hub now, too.
